Munich-Innsbruck-Brenner-Sterzing-Bozen motorway
Take the Bozen Süd motorway exit, then the MEBO clearway until the exit for Meran Süd and follow signage for Jaufenpass / Timmelspass / Passeiertal via Riffian-St. Martin-St. Leonhard, Moos until you reach Pfelders in Passeier. Munich to Pfelders – approx. 340km.
Alternate Route: take the Brenner exit, then head for Sterzing-St. Leonhard, Moos, Pfelders in Passeier. Munich to Pfelders – approx. 245km. Please note that the route via the Jaufenpass is approx. 2000m above sea level, very bendy and narrow in places. It is recommended that you avoid this route in bad weather.
A7 motorway via Kempten-Reute-Imst-Landeck-Reschenpass-Meran
Take the Meran motorway exit, then follow signage for Jaufenpass / Timmelspass / Passeiertal via Riffian-Saltaus-St. Martin-St. Leonhard, Moos until you reach Pfelders in Passeier. Stuttgart to Pfelders – approx. 480km. (You do not require a “vignette” pre-paid motorway toll sticker if you take the Bundesstrasse from Imst to Landeck)
Alternate Route: Kempten-Reute-Ötztal-Timmelspass, Moos, Pfelders in Passeier. Stuttgart to Pfelders – approx. 380km. The Timmelsjoch is only open between June and mid-October. Furthermore, the pass is at an altitude of 2500m above sea level (NB: this is a toll road!). It is recommended that you avoid this route in bad weather.
From Switzerland:
Come via Ofenpass-Münstertal-Glurns-Schluderns-Meran, and then follow signage for Jaufenpass / Timmelspass /Passeiertal via Riffian-St. Martin-St. Leonhard, Moos until you reach Pfelders in Passeier.
From Verona:
Take the Brenner motorway until you get to Bozen Süd, then the MEBO clearway until the exit for Meran Süd. Then, follow the signage for Jaufenpass / Timmelspass / Passeiertal via Riffian-St. Martin-St. Leonhard, Moos until you reach Pfelders in Passeier.
