You’ll be amazed at just how quickly they’ll pick skiing or snowboarding up! You and your loved ones can also explore the natural beauty of the Alps during a snowshoeing trip or a winter hike.
Boredom? A thing of the past!
You and your kids will just love checking out the natural toboggan runs and natural ice rink in Pfelders, on the latter of which you’ll have the opportunity to play ice hockey or a variant of curling popular in Bavaria, Austria and South Tyrol, or simply relax and enjoy the background music. Adrenaline junkies will be in the right place at the ice tower in Rabenstein Passeier, the largest artificial ice climbing facility in Europe. Up to 18 people at a time can climb here, on routes of varying difficulty levels. The structure is made up of a 25m vertical ice tower, a 14m tall ice cylinder with a diameter of up to 5m and an ice wall that is 2m wide and 15m high. Who’d want to miss out on something like this?
Perhaps you want to try something that’s less strenuous. Yes? Then cross-country skiing (Langlauf) is the very thing for you. This winter sport strengthens your heart and circulation will surely bring your mind, body and soul back into harmony. If ski touring is your thing, Pfelders is the perfect starting point… the summits of the Öztal Alps are a challenge to reach, but, once there, the panoramic views are well worth the effort!
